Yuste branded the behaviour "very bad taste" and insisted it will not affect the club's summer planning.
Yuste was speaking publicly for the first time on the episode, and chose not to inflame it further — instead using the opportunity to contrast the conduct of the two clubs.
"The tweets by Atletico Madrid? I found them to be in very bad taste. We have a very clear way of acting as a club. I believe that education is above everything and, therefore, we must continue to set an example, from the president to the last member of the board."
He declined to confirm or deny the reported interest in Álvarez directly, instead redirecting to the club's sporting director.
"Deco is handling the sporting plans very well and we want him to continue with this great work he has been doing."
Yuste also pointedly declined to engage with questions about the Real Madrid presidential election taking place on Sunday.
"We are concentrated on what we do ourselves."
He added that Barcelona this weekend are focused primarily on their basketball and handball sections rather than rival club business.
