The 22-year-old midfielder, who has been at Selhurst Park since a £22 million move from Blackburn Rovers in February 2024, was linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea during the transfer window.
Speaking to The Athletic ahead of Palace's Europa League clash with Lech Poznań on Thursday, Wharton said he had deliberately kept himself in the dark about any interest from elsewhere.
"I never really thought about transfers in the summer," he said. "I keep myself completely out of it. My agent doesn't really tell me anything, I don't want to know anything. If I'm not going to change clubs, there's no reason for me to have any information.
"I've never thought about any other club, I've been here the whole time training, looking forward to a new season, the coach and new players joining."
Wharton, who helped Palace win the Conference League last season, has started all four of the club's league matches so far this campaign and remains contracted at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2029. He indicated he was in no hurry to think beyond his current deal.
"I have three years left at Palace, as far as I know I'll be here for three years, unless another club gets in touch or there's talk of a new contract," he said. "I take it one week at a time, one match at a time."
For a player who has been strongly linked with a move for over a year, Wharton's insistence on staying focused on the present, rather than speculation over his future, reflects the same measured approach that has underpinned his rise from Blackburn's academy to a regular starter for both Palace and England.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has previously acknowledged that Wharton will likely want Champions League football at some stage of his career, either at Selhurst Park or elsewhere, but has stressed that his long contract leaves the club under no pressure to sell.
