Endrick is considering another loan move away from Real Madrid in January after falling down the attacking pecking order under José Mourinho, with Aston Villa emerging as a possible destination.

The Brazilian forward has struggled for opportunities during the opening weeks of the season, with the competition for places at Real Madrid leaving him facing another decision over his future despite remaining part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for Brazil.

Endrick had hoped to establish himself in Mourinho’s squad after remaining at Real Madrid during the summer. Instead, the 20-year-old has found himself behind Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, Brahim Díaz and Carlos Espí, while Rodrygo is also expected to return from injury.

The lack of minutes has reopened the possibility of a January loan. Endrick previously left Real Madrid on loan during the second half of last season, joining Lyon after finding opportunities limited in Madrid.

His spell in France proved productive, with Endrick becoming an important player for Lyon and showing the scoring form that had made him one of the most highly rated young forwards in Europe. He returned to Madrid hoping that his performances would strengthen his position in the squad.

That has not happened so far, leaving the striker to examine his options again. Roma remain interested after pursuing him during the summer, while Lyon would also welcome a return.

Aston Villa are now emerging as another potential destination. The Premier League club have reportedly moved into contention for a January loan, with their involvement in the Champions League potentially appealing to Endrick as he considers where he would have the best opportunity to play regularly.

Regular football is understood to be the priority for the Brazilian, rather than simply leaving Madrid for the sake of it. A move would give him another chance to rebuild momentum and demonstrate that he can perform consistently at the highest level.

The situation also represents a repeat of the problem Endrick faced last season. His January move to Lyon allowed him to recover his confidence and scoring touch after a difficult start at Madrid.

Real Madrid therefore face another decision over a player they still regard as a significant long-term talent. If Endrick cannot force his way into Mourinho’s plans over the coming weeks, another temporary departure could become the most practical solution.

For now, Roma, Lyon and Aston Villa are among the clubs linked with the forward, with Aston Villa increasingly viewed as a leading option if the Premier League side maintain their interest.

Endrick’s situation is therefore likely to remain under scrutiny as the January window approaches. His previous loan showed that regular football can quickly change his fortunes, but Madrid must decide whether another spell away is the best way to continue his development.
