The England captain has indicated that an agreement with the German champions is extremely close, with the remaining discussions focused on the finer details of the deal.
Kane is expected to extend his stay in Munich until 2029, having established himself as one of Bayern Munich's most influential players since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
The new agreement is also likely to prove financially rewarding. According to Sport Bild, Kane's existing contract contains a series of performance-related incentives, including a substantial payment for winning the Ballon d'Or.
The 33-year-old recently secured the individual award, triggering a bonus worth more than €1 million. Tottenham, his former club, are not entitled to an additional payment as a result of the achievement.
There are further incentives linked to his goalscoring performances. Kane receives a bonus each season in which he finishes as the Bundesliga's leading scorer, an achievement he has managed in all three of his campaigns with Bayern.
His contract also includes a reward for finishing as the Champions League's top scorer. That particular clause was activated in the 2023-24 season, when Kane finished as the competition's leading marksman.
The European Golden Shoe is another source of additional income. Kane has won the award twice, after scoring 36 Bundesliga goals in both the 2023-24 and 2025-26 campaigns.
The bonuses underline the level of performance Bayern have secured from their leading striker, even if the club will have to continue paying handsomely for his achievements.
With negotiations approaching completion, Bayern are nevertheless expected to be delighted at the prospect of keeping their England captain for another three years.
