Torino confirmed the move in an official statement: "Torino Football Club announces it has transferred to Göztepe Spor Kulübü, on a temporary basis with an option for a permanent transfer, the sporting rights of player Faustino Anjorin. Torino says goodbye to Tino and wishes him the best for this new professional experience."
The deal takes him to the Turkish Süper Lig on loan with an option to buy set at around €6m.
The 24-year-old was a product of Chelsea's academy before arriving in Italian football with Empoli in 2024, who signed him permanently from Stamford Bridge. After a solid campaign in Serie A, Torino brought him in the following summer for €4.5m on a loan with an obligation to buy, though the conditions attached to that obligation were ultimately not triggered.
Regular football proved hard to come by in Turin, with Anjorin restricted to a bit-part role and finishing last season with 17 Serie A appearances but no goals to show for it.
Torino are understood to be covering the majority of his wages during the loan to Göztepe, who move quickly to add an attacking midfielder with genuine Premier League pedigree, even if his career since leaving Chelsea has been defined more by a string of loan moves than sustained first-team football.
Anjorin previously spent time out on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow, Huddersfield Town and Portsmouth before his permanent switch to Serie A, and will now be looking to rebuild momentum in a new league after a stop-start year in Turin.
Born in Poole and capped by England at every youth level from Under-17 to Under-20, Anjorin made just a single senior appearance for Chelsea before being sent out on loan repeatedly, eventually leaving Stamford Bridge for good when Empoli made his move permanent.
His stock had risen after a productive first season in Tuscany, scoring twice and adding three assists in 22 Serie A appearances, form that persuaded Torino to commit to the obligation-to-buy structure that ultimately saw them take on his registration. That the Turkish move now comes on loan rather than permanently reflects how far his value has slipped after a season with little impact in the Piedmontese capital.
