Morgan Rogers has dismissed the transfer speculation linking him to Arsenal as "noise" and insisted his sole focus is on England's World Cup campaign, while insisting he and Jude Bellingham can coexist in the same team.

Rogers registered 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions for Aston Villa in the 2025-26 season β€” a return that has placed him at the top of Arsenal's summer recruitment list and attracted concurrent interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.

Villa's position is firm. The club are pointing to the Β£100 million paid by City for Jack Grealish in 2021 as the benchmark for any sale, and are under no obligation to sell with Rogers under contract until 2031.

Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, Rogers was straightforward about his ability to tune out the speculation.

"I think the first time it ever happened it was. You're in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and you're not quite realising that. But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise."

He made clear he has no intention of being distracted.

"You hear it, course you do. You can't help not hearing it. You know it's there but you've got to use it in a positive way. You just try and get on with your game and just focus."

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has used Rogers in 12 of his 13 matches in charge β€” a level of trust that speaks to how highly the German regards him. Rogers has also been placed in direct competition with Jude Bellingham for the number 10 role, though he pushed back against the idea of the two as mutually exclusive.

"I think we can definitely play together. I'd love to play together. I want to play with England's best players. He's right at the front of that and someone that I've always wanted to play with from a very young age, and that's no different now."

Tuchel has already noted that Bellingham is not guaranteed to start β€” a statement that elevates Rogers from squad option to genuine contender for the most prominent creative role in the England team.

Villa's financial position adds a layer of complexity. Profit and Sustainability pressures mean the club cannot entirely rule out a sale if the right offer arrives. A Middlesbrough sell-on clause β€” the Championship club are entitled to a 20 per cent share of any profit above Rogers's initial Β£8 million fee β€” means a Β£100 million deal would trigger a significant payment to the north east club.

Rogers is performing well in training and has given no indication to those around him that he wants to force a move. The World Cup comes first. Everything else can wait.
