Declan Rice has warned Arsenal not to assume the Premier League title is secured after Monday's 1-0 win over Burnley, urging the squad to go and win at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the win, which was settled by Kai Havertz's 36th-minute header and protected by a series of saves from goalkeeper David Raya, Rice praised the collective defensive effort while acknowledging the scale of what remained at stake.

"I don't know where we would be without him to be honest, and the two centre-backs. I could speak for so long about how they prepare, train and connect off the pitch โ€” it is no coincidence how they work on the pitch. Massive props to them for the season they've had."

He reflected on his own increasingly versatile role under Mikel Arteta, who has deployed the 27-year-old England midfielder in several different positions across the campaign.

"That has what this manager has developed me into, someone that can play anywhere in midfield. I know the job that is required. There was a lot of mopping up to do tonight, a lot of second balls in front of the back four, starting attacks, giving the ball to the likes of Martin and Ebs. Whatever the manager wants from me I will always give 100%."

When a reporter suggested Arsenal fans feel the title is already secured, Rice's response was emphatic.

"Don't say it like that. Jesus. I know how football works. There is a game on tomorrow, anything can happen. The only thing we can control is ourselves, going out there on Sunday and winning that match. That is all we want. We know what is at stake for this club."

He did, however, allow himself to state what he believes the season has shown.

"I think we deserve to be champions, 100%, speaking honestly. This season has been our season but Man City have been incredible and under Pep you can never rule them out. But we have put ourselves in a really good position and all I have been saying is that we have to keep going."

Arsenal lead Manchester City by five points ahead of their respective final two fixtures.
