Endrick’s lack of opportunities at Real Madrid has reopened the possibility of a January loan to Italy, with Roma and AC Milan both interested in the Brazilian forward.

The 20-year-old is attracting renewed attention ahead of the winter transfer window, having struggled to secure a regular place in José Mourinho’s Madrid side. Both Italian clubs explored the possibility of signing him during the summer, but neither move materialised.

Roma have now received an unexpected show of support from within their own squad. According to Corriere dello Sport, right-back Wesley has contacted his Brazil international teammate personally to tell him how happy he would be to welcome him to the Italian capital in January.

The pair have a close relationship, and Wesley’s message has added a personal dimension to Roma’s pursuit. Their next meeting will come on Wednesday, 14 October, when Roma host Real Madrid in the Champions League at the Stadio Olimpico.

For Endrick, the fixture will offer an opportunity to see the environment he could join should a loan move become possible. Roma are understood to be pursuing a temporary arrangement, although a deal remains dependent on negotiations with Madrid.

A move would not guarantee Endrick an automatic starting place. Gian Piero Gasperini has several attacking options, including Donyell Malen, Santiago Castro, Paulo Dybala, Matías Soulé, Rodrigo Mora and Lorenzo Pellegrini. The Brazilian would therefore need to compete for his place rather than expect to become the undisputed first choice.

Milan remain another possibility. The Rossoneri considered signing Endrick previously but failed to reach an agreement, and former Milan forward Alexandre Pato has recently suggested that owner Gerry Cardinale is working towards a January deal.

However, Milan’s recruitment strategy could complicate the situation. The club invested heavily in Gonçalo Ramos during the summer, leaving questions over whether another major attacking signing would be a priority.

Ramos is the established option through the middle, while teenage forward Francesco Camarda has struggled to obtain the minutes needed to develop. Endrick could offer another attacking profile, but any move would depend on how Milan balance immediate needs with their longer-term plans.

For now, AS Roma’s interest has gained momentum through Wesley’s personal invitation, while AC Milan remain in the picture. Endrick’s next step will depend on whether either club can agree terms with Real Madrid and offer him a clearer route to regular football.
