Real Madrid are monitoring Granada teenager Owen Emeka, with AC Milan also tracking the forward after his emergence in Spain’s second tier.
AC Milan have entered the race for the 17-year-old after a scouting mission in Spain, adding another European heavyweight to the picture around the Granada forward.
Emeka, whose full name is Owen Mira Chukwuemeka, has made six appearances and scored once for Granada in the 2026-27 campaign, according to LaLiga.
His progress has attracted attention despite his age, with his contract understood to contain a €15 million release clause. That figure could become significant if either club decides to make a formal approach.
Real Madrid had already been following the teenager before Milan's interest emerged. The two clubs now represent two of the biggest names monitoring a player who is beginning to establish himself in senior football.
Emeka joined Granada in 2024 after developing in the Málaga area, having previously played for Atlético Benamiel and other local youth sides. AS reported earlier this month that Granada had renewed his contract until 2031 after Málaga also showed an interest.
The teenager was born in Benalmádena to a Spanish father and Nigerian mother and has developed into an attacking player capable of causing problems with his pace and direct running.
Milan's original scouting trip was reportedly focused on another Granada youngster, Dylan Rodríguez, but Emeka's performance also caught the attention of the Italian club.
That has now left Granada with a potentially significant decision over one of its most promising young players. The club can continue his development with regular senior football or face approaches from clubs capable of offering a very different pathway.
For Real Madrid, the interest fits a long-standing strategy of identifying young talent before it reaches its peak value. Milan are pursuing a similar route, with Emeka's early senior exposure making him an increasingly attractive target.
