Alex Moreno has attracted interest from Orlando City, with Antoine Griezmann's new club having already submitted an offer for the 33-year-old left-back, though the player has yet to decide on his next destination.

Moreno remains under contract with Girona, who were relegated to Segunda Division last season, but the veteran full-back also has options to stay in Spain.

According to Foot Mercato, Deportivo La Coruña are preparing a proposal to negotiate for the defender, while both Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano are also said to be monitoring his situation. Moreno's experience is viewed as a key asset by his suitors, with the player set to become a free agent in 2027.

Girona's relegation has left several of the club's more experienced players weighing up their futures, with Moreno among those whose long-term role at the club appears uncertain following the drop out of La Liga.

A return to a top-flight side, whether in Spain or via a move to Major League Soccer, would allow him to continue playing at a higher level than Segunda Division football would offer.

Orlando City's interest comes as the MLS club prepares to welcome Griezmann, who is set to join in a high-profile move from Atletico Madrid this summer. Should Moreno follow him to Inter&Co Stadium, it would represent a significant coup for Orlando as they continue building out their squad around their Designated Player additions.

For now, no agreement is in place, and Moreno's decision is expected to hinge on which option offers him the clearest path to regular football as he enters the latter stages of his career.

The left-back arrived in Spain last summer on a free transfer from Aston Villa, having previously come through the academy at Real Betis before moving to England, with a loan spell at Nottingham Forest also on his CV.

His experience across the Premier League and La Liga has made him an attractive option for clubs seeking a reliable, versatile presence at left-back or as a wing-back, which explains the level of interest gathering around him despite his age.
