Nottingham Forest confirmed the move on their official website and wished the midfielder well.
The agreement runs until 1 January 2027, a little over three months, and keeps Djamna in Nottingham. Basford is a suburb of the city, and the club's ground at Greenwich Avenue holds around 2,400.
Basford United, nicknamed the Lions or the Ambers, were formed in 1900 at the Old Pear Tree Inn and now play in Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. It is one of three divisions at Step 4 of the pyramid, below the league's Premier Division.
Basford finished third in the 22-team table last season, having climbed through the divisions after winning the inaugural Midland League Premier Division title in 2014/15, a year in which they also lifted the Notts Senior Cup for a third time.
Djamna as an under-21 midfielder at Forest, and he joins with some experience of senior opposition already. The National League Cup pits Premier League 2 sides against National League clubs, and he played 75 minutes against Sutton United in that competition in February 2025 before a five-minute appearance at Boreham Wood the following August. In Premier League 2 he featured for 35 minutes against Liverpool's under-21s in February this year.
Forest announced a new contract for the midfielder in April 2025, and the following month the under-21 group he belongs to won the Premier League International Cup, beating Lyon on penalties in the final at the City Ground.
Loans into non-league football are a familiar way for Premier League academies to give young players competitive minutes against adult opposition. Basford's division this season includes newly promoted Boston Town and Grantham Town, both of whom stepped up from the United Counties League.
That gives Djamna until the turn of the year to show what he can do in senior football.
