Fulham, Rangers, Celtic, VfB Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Burnley, Ipswich Town, Southampton, Sheffield United and Cardiff City have all registered their interest.
The Daily Mail reported the full extent of the interest surrounding Ashia after a breakout season in League One that earned him the club's Academy Player of the Year award.
He scored six goals and provided three assists in 31 appearances, predominantly from the bench, with only six starts. Huddersfield exercised the contract option to avoid losing him for free, but the fee to sign him could be as low as Β£500,000 given the terms of the extension.
Ashia joined Huddersfield in 2024 after a stint as a scholar at Derby County and made his league debut last August, scoring in a 2-0 win over Reading. His blistering pace and direct running on either flank drew comparisons to Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku, while his family connections to the game are significant β he is the nephew of Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Rangers head coach Danny RΓΆhl is understood to be particularly keen and believes Ashia can be persuaded to move to Scotland, potentially ahead of a bidding war by offering a pre-contract. Celtic are equally alert to the opportunity. Whether the Old Firm clubs can outbid Championship interest from Burnley, Ipswich, Southampton, Sheffield United and Cardiff β all of whom offer a clearer pathway to the Premier League β will shape the outcome.
German sides Stuttgart and Hoffenheim have also run checks, reflecting the type of continental interest that young English players with Ashia's profile regularly attract.
Huddersfield are in League One for a third successive season and the prospect of another campaign at that level makes retaining him genuinely difficult. The academy award may boost his morale but it will not change the ambition of a player who has outgrown the division.
