Lille president Olivier Létang remains firm in his desire to keep the 21-year-old, particularly with no readymade replacement lined up, but suitors are increasingly determined to force the issue in this final week of the window.
Fernández-Pardo, who is under contract until 2029, has made his own position clear: he wants to leave Lille despite the prospect of Champions League football this season. The Belgium international enjoyed a breakout campaign in Ligue 1, contributing 15 goal involvements — eight goals and seven assists — in 41 appearances, form that has attracted admiration well beyond Newcastle and Atlético.
