Woltemade's agent, Danny Bachmann, told Sky those reports had originated from "fake accounts" and confirmed the player's plan remains to stay on Tyneside, while sporting director Ross Wilson, described as a big admirer of the 24-year-old, has no plans to sell or loan him out.
Woltemade has returned for pre-season training in strong physical condition after representing Germany at this summer's World Cup, where he featured in the round of 32 defeat to Paraguay, and has set himself ambitious personal targets for the campaign ahead.
