Deportivo La Coruna will cover the majority of his wages during the season-long loan, while retaining the right to sign him permanently for 30million euros once the campaign ends.
Deportivo's interest in Casadó stretches back to the season both clubs competed in Primera RFEF, when the midfielder produced a standout individual performance against Deportivo at Riazor. The club's sporting management never lost track of him after that display, and moved decisively once he became attainable this summer.
Head coach Antonio Hidalgo had specifically requested a player of Casadó's profile, with Amatucci currently the only midfielder of a similar defensive mould in his squad.
Casadó made 75 appearances for Barcelona's first team after breaking through from the club's youth academy, which he joined in 2016 from CF Damm. He had not featured in Barcelona's opening matches of the season, having known for months that he no longer figured in Flick's midfield plans, a situation that hardened further following the signing of Rodri.

The deal was finalised in the closing minutes of the window after weeks of speculation over Casadó's future, with Chelsea and Atlético Madrid both having shown interest earlier in the summer before turning their attention elsewhere once Barcelona's valuation became clear.
