Manchester United have invited Marcus Rashford to take part in their forthcoming Amazon documentary, a move that suggests the club may be prepared to keep the forward at Old Trafford this season rather than push through a permanent exit.

Rashford has not played for United since December 2024, and the club had been expected to sell him to the highest bidder this summer, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen to remove his wages from the books.

It has now emerged that United executives have asked Rashford whether he wants to be included in the fly-on-the-wall series the club has agreed with Amazon Prime Video in a multi-million pound deal, with cameras already rolling on 'All or Nothing: Manchester United' following the return of Michael Carrick's squad for pre-season.

It is understood Rashford has yet to make a decision, as he continues to weigh up his next move, but the invitation itself suggests United are at least open to including him in their plans for the new campaign, reports the Mirror.

The 27-year-old fell out with former head coach Ruben Amorim after revealing he wanted to leave his hometown club, and was subsequently sent on loan to Aston Villa before a second loan at Barcelona last season.

Barcelona opted against making that move permanent, turning down the option in a £24m deal, meaning Rashford returns to United following his involvement with England at the World Cup this summer. Several clubs are understood to be weighing up a move for the forward, whose future remains unresolved.

Amazon had wanted to produce the documentary last season, but Amorim declined to cooperate at the time. United say the project, which will follow the club throughout the 2026-27 season and is due for release next year, is "aligned with the club's desire to be as open and transparent as possible" with supporters around the world, promising viewers "unprecedented access" to Old Trafford and the club's new Carrington training complex, taking cameras inside the dressing room and behind the scenes of match days throughout the campaign.
