Liverpool are weighing a move for West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, with the Dutch international one of six Premier League forwards currently being assessed by Arne Slot's recruitment team.

The Athletic reported that Liverpool's summer planning includes a broader canvas of domestic options than had previously been indicated, with Summerville among those under consideration alongside RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola.

The pursuit of Summerville is heavily conditioned on West Ham United's survival. The Hammers sit two points below Tottenham in the relegation zone with two matches remaining, meaning a Championship exit would both increase their willingness to sell and reduce the fee required.

Summerville has a contract running until 2030 and was signed from Leeds United last summer for around ยฃ25million. West Ham are not under any contractual obligation to sell, but the financial reality of relegation would change the equation significantly.

Summerville, 23, has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists across 39 appearances in all competitions this season despite the Hammers' difficult campaign. His pace, directness and ability to operate on either flank make him an attractive profile for a side that needs to replace the goals and creativity Mohamed Salah provided on the right side.

He represented the Netherlands at Euro 2024 and has 18 senior caps. He was one of Leeds's standout performers in their Championship title-winning season before the move to London.

Liverpool also need to replace the attacking output of Salah and cover for Florian Wirtz's injury. Whether they can sign a player from a relegated West Ham at a price that reflects the situation will determine how quickly this pursuit can advance. West Ham's final two matches are away at Newcastle and at home to Brighton.
