Torino are closing in on goalkeeper Lucas Perri, Hamburg nearing a deal for centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw and West Ham United are now pushing hard for striker Joel Piroe.
Torino appear best placed to complete a move for Perri, having already reached an agreement with both Leeds United and the 27-year-old Brazilian in mid-July over a loan with an €11million option to buy.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Italian club is confident of finalising the deal this weekend despite late interest from Marseille, who explored the option of signing Perri to add competition and security in goal but have so far failed to overtake Torino in the race.
The transfer still hinges on Perri passing a medical in Italy following a quadriceps injury that has kept him in rehabilitation, with Torino proceeding cautiously and preparing potential fallback options in case of complications. Should the move collapse, the club have identified Michele Di Gregorio and Guglielmo Vicario as alternatives, though Perri remains the clear priority.
Bornauw, meanwhile, is set to head to Hamburg on loan with a purchase option worth around €4.5million, according to Sky Sports Germany. The 27-year-old Belgium international, who has four caps for his country, joined Leeds only a year ago from Wolfsburg and previously spent time at 1. FC Köln during six years in the Bundesliga.
West Ham United have also entered the market for Leeds forward Joel Piroe, as the newly relegated Championship club push for a quick return to the Premier League.
The move follows West Ham's club-record Championship signing of Arne Engels from Celtic earlier in the week, a deal worth around £22million that made the Belgian the most expensive player ever recruited by a second-tier English club.
Piroe, at Leeds since August 2023 after arriving from Swansea City, had originally been overlooked by West Ham in favour of Troy Parrott of AZ Alkmaar, but that move stalled, opening the door for the Dutch striker to move to the London Stadium instead.
