Former Croatia international Srdan Lakic has revealed Eintracht Frankfurt gave him the proudest moment of his club career.

Lakic, who played across the Bundesliga for Kaiserslautern, Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim and Frankfurt, says helping Frankfurt qualify for Europe after two decades was unforgettable.

“Frankfurt was a great experience,” Lakic told Football Presse.

“Qualifying for Europe after nearly 20 years was a big success.”

The striker, now retired, also pointed to Kaiserslautern’s stunning seventh-place finish in their first season back in the Bundesliga as another career highlight.

“After many years in the second division, finishing seventh was a great achievement,” he said.

Different clubs.

Different challenges.

But Frankfurt, he says, was special.
