Lakic, who played across the Bundesliga for Kaiserslautern, Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim and Frankfurt, says helping Frankfurt qualify for Europe after two decades was unforgettable.
“Frankfurt was a great experience,” Lakic told Football Presse.
“Qualifying for Europe after nearly 20 years was a big success.”
The striker, now retired, also pointed to Kaiserslautern’s stunning seventh-place finish in their first season back in the Bundesliga as another career highlight.
“After many years in the second division, finishing seventh was a great achievement,” he said.
