Andrea Ritorni, of Vigo Global Sport Services, the agency that represents Kayode, told Tuttomercatoweb that reports linking the 22-year-old with a host of major Italian sides, including Inter Milan, never came close to convincing the player to leave west London.
"He grew up competing against English football, he's happy in the Premier League and living in England, and now his daughter will be born there," Ritorni said.
"Of course he's pleased that big Italian teams have been talked about in connection with him, but he's happy at Brentford and has never thought about leaving, even if he's flattered."
Kayode signed his improved deal, which runs until the summer of 2032 with a club option for a further year, having established himself as one of the Premier League's most consistent full-backs since arriving from Fiorentina.
"We're absolutely delighted, myself and the whole team at Vigo Global Sport Services along with owner Claudio Vigorelli, and so is his family," Ritorni said. "Brentford wanted this renewal. And I think his value is growing too: Brentford paid 20 million for him, but they might be able to sell him for double that."
Ritorni also addressed Kayode's international ambitions, with the defender having represented Italy at various youth levels but yet to break into the senior squad.
"We'll see who the new coach will be for now, but he's certainly aiming firmly for the national team, and I think he has all the qualities to get there," Ritorni said. "When he sets his mind on something, he achieves it through hard work."
Kayode joined Brentford on loan from Fiorentina in January 2025 before the move was made permanent that summer, and made 44 competitive appearances in his first full season, earning a nomination for the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award.
The fee Ritorni referenced, put at around €20m, is somewhat higher than the figure most widely reported for Kayode's permanent transfer, which independent reporting has generally placed closer to €17.5m to €18m including add-ons. Either way, his rise in value since arriving in England has been striking, with some reports suggesting he could now command a fee in excess of €40m were Brentford to consider selling.
Kayode began his career in Juventus's academy before spells at Serie D side Gozzano and then Fiorentina, where he made 49 appearances and reached the Conference League final in 2024.
His versatility, comfortable operating on either side of defence, has been a key factor behind his rapid establishment as a regular starter under Brentford head coach Keith Andrews, who has previously praised the player's enthusiasm and development since his arrival in west London.
