Juventus are monitoring Bayern Munich goalkeeper Leonard Prescott as they look to strengthen their long-term options between the posts, with the teenager’s contract situation potentially opening the door to a move.

The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Bayern’s academy, but uncertainty over his route into the first team could encourage him to consider his future elsewhere.

According to Sportmediaset, Prescott is weighing up whether to extend his current contract, which expires on 30 June 2027. Juventus are following developments and could explore the possibility of securing his services.

The German youngster was previously considered for a remarkable Champions League debut against Atalanta in March, when Bayern needed to assess their options in goal. The club ultimately opted for Jonas Urbig, who is viewed as a leading candidate to succeed Manuel Neuer.

That hierarchy could prove significant for Prescott. Despite his reputation within Bayern’s youth system, the prospect of establishing himself in the senior side remains complicated while Urbig is ahead of him in the succession plan.

Juventus are looking to identify a young goalkeeper who can develop within their project, rather than relying exclusively on established players. The club have also been tracking Frosinone’s Lorenzo Palmisani, who attracted their attention during the previous summer transfer window.

Prescott would represent another option in that search, with his age and potential making him an attractive prospect for the future.

The situation remains at an exploratory stage, and there is no indication that an agreement has been reached. Much will depend on Prescott’s decision over his Bayern contract and whether the German club can offer him a clearer pathway towards senior football.

For Juventus, the opportunity to recruit a highly rated goalkeeper before his contract expires could be appealing. However, any move would require careful consideration of the player’s development and the competition he would face for first-team opportunities.

Prescott’s future is therefore one to watch as Juventus continue assessing their goalkeeping options for the seasons ahead.
