According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have raised their offer for Kolo Muani to €40m, but PSG are holding out for around €10m more and have opened the door to other suitors. With talks continuing to stall, the Italian club have turned their attention back to Zirkzee, who has struggled to establish himself at Manchester United since his €42.5m move from Bologna in the summer of 2024.
The Dutch forward managed just two goals and one assist in 24 league appearances last season, only five of which came from the start, as United finished third in the Premier League. He is under contract until 2029, with the option of a further year, and had been offered around Europe in the spring, with Juventus and Roma both credited with interest at the time.
Manchester United are believed to be seeking between €35m and €40m for Zirkzee, and are said to be open to a loan with an option to buy as well as a permanent sale, according to Italian reports.
His salary of around €4m a season would also represent a considerable saving for Juventus compared with Kolo Muani, who would command closer to €5m annually. Zirkzee has scored once and set up another goal in six caps for the Netherlands.
Zirkzee has been repeatedly linked with a return to Serie A ever since leaving Bologna, where he spent time on loan from Bayern Munich before making his name in Italy and earning his move to Old Trafford. Tottenham forward Richarlison has also been mentioned as an alternative option for Juventus as they look to add firepower before the new season, according to Italian reports.
Juventus are also continuing to weigh up a potential return for Dusan Vlahovic and remain in talks with Parma over forward Mateo Pellegrino, potentially as part of a deal involving young forward Jeff Ekhator going the other way on loan, underlining the scale of the rebuild Juventus are attempting to complete before the transfer window closes.
