La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Kluivert has emerged on Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti's radar as the Turin club seek attacking reinforcements following their failure to qualify for the Champions League — a significant blow to their ambitions and their budget.
Díaz, 26, remains Spalletti's preferred target, but Real Madrid's demands for the Spanish forward are expected to be substantial and the absence of Champions League football makes the pitch to the player more difficult.
Kluivert, 27, joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2023 and produced an impressive 2024-25 campaign, scoring 12 goals and adding six assists in 34 Premier League appearances. This season was considerably more difficult. He managed just two goals in 20 league appearances, only ten from the start, as Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola — who has since left for Liverpool — reduced his role within the squad.
Despite the downturn, Kluivert is contracted at Bournemouth until the summer of 2028, meaning the south coast club hold the negotiating power and will set the terms of any sale. Bournemouth will be competing in the Europa League next season after finishing sixth, which further complicates any departure.
Kluivert has previously played for AS Roma, Valencia and OGC Nice before his move to England. He is the son of former Barcelona and Netherlands striker Patrick Kluivert.
