Jadon Sancho has been offered to West Ham United as he considers his next move after leaving Manchester United, according to reports in England.

The 26-year-old winger has been without a club since his United contract expired in June. TalkSPORT reports that his representatives have contacted several English sides, including West Ham United, to explore whether a deal could be possible.

Sancho has already received an offer from Getafe, but the proposed salary is understood to be far below the terms he earned at Manchester United. The Spanish club’s offer is reportedly worth around £10,000 a week, leaving the former England international weighing up his options.

It remains unclear whether West Ham intend to take the discussions further. The club are currently competing in the Championship after relegation from the Premier League, although their strong start under Nuno Espírito Santo has put them among the promotion contenders.

A move to the second tier would be a striking change for a player who was once among Europe’s most highly rated young attackers. Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a reported £73 million, but struggled to establish himself during his five-year spell at the club.

He scored 12 goals in 83 appearances for United and spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa. His most recent campaign was with Villa, where he made 39 appearances and scored once, before leaving when his United contract expired.

Chelsea had the option to sign him permanently after his loan spell, but instead paid a reported penalty to send him back to Manchester. That outcome further complicated his position ahead of the summer.

Sancho’s best form came at Dortmund, where he scored 50 goals in 137 appearances and developed a productive partnership with Erling Haaland. He has yet to find a new club, despite interest from Spain and efforts to identify alternatives in England.

For West Ham, any move would depend on whether the club want to pursue the opportunity and whether Sancho would accept terms suited to their current division. At this stage, the approach is reported interest rather than a confirmed negotiation.
