The World Cup winner with both Spain and Chelsea stood alongside club president Florentino PĂ©rez for the ceremony at Real Madrid's training complex, formalising a move first agreed back in mid-June and following the same low-key format the club has used to unveil its other summer signings this year.
The deal was completed swiftly, with José Mourinho playing a key role in identifying Cucurella as his absolute priority to strengthen the left-back position.
The Catalan was not among the starters last Saturday at CornellĂ , though he did feature in a match building towards a starting role that now looks beyond question.
Cucurella will step out at the BernabĂ©u on Wednesday against Real Sociedad, a stadium he has not set foot in since March 2024 â a night that changed the course of his career. Called up for Spain against Brazil following GayĂ 's withdrawal through injury, Cucurella started and has not relinquished his place as Luis de la Fuente's first-choice left-back since, a run of form that eventually led him to Real Madrid.
Speaking as he joined his new team-mates for training, Cucurella reflected on the significance of the move.
"I'm very happy. Behind all of this there's a lot of work, and all the effort I've put in over these years has been worth it. I'm very happy about everything that's happening to me, and I hope it continues like this, winning trophies and, above all, being able to enjoy this experience."
He also thanked supporters ahead of his imminent presentation to the fanbase.
"I've received a lot of messages and I'll try to give my best always and in every minute I get. I think the most important thing, and what we all want, is to win trophies with this shirt."
The presentation followed the format used for Real Madrid's other new arrivals this summer: Florentino PĂ©rez welcomed him in the boardroom, where Cucurella signed a contract running for six seasons, until 30 June 2032. He then received a replica of the stadium, a watch and a shirt bearing his name and the number 17. Honorary president JosĂ© MartĂnez, known as Pirri, also attended the ceremony.

"The summer has felt long. But now the moment has arrived to wear the shirt of the best club in the world, which has won so many titles and has more still to win. It is a source of pride, an honour."
As with the rest of this summer's arrivals, the club's 15 Champions League titles formed a recurring theme of his comments.
"It really is impressive. I remember the one won with the comebacks so well. I hope I can win one myself. I've suffered against the Bernabéu as a visitor. It's a magical stadium where incredible things can happen in ten minutes. I can't wait to play there," Cucurella said.
