Getafe sporting director Toni Muñoz says the club are assessing possible moves for Sergio Ramos and Jadon Sancho while welcoming Dani Carvajal ahead of his debut.

Speaking to DAZN before Monday’s LaLiga meeting with Rayo Vallecano, Muñoz stressed that any recruitment must make sense for the club both on the pitch and financially.

“From the sporting direction, we are working to see which players we could sign, both in sporting terms and economically. We are looking at everyone, to be honest,” he said when asked about Ramos.

The former Real Madrid and Spain captain is among the experienced players linked with Getafe as the club look for opportunities to strengthen their squad. Muñoz did not indicate that a deal was close, instead making clear that the club were surveying the available options.

Sancho is another name under consideration. The England international has been linked with a move to Spain, but Getafe must establish whether a potential agreement is realistic within their financial limits.

“We are keeping an eye on any situation that might arise. We are alert and working,” Muñoz said.

“The important thing is that the players we have are good, that we put in a good performance, and whoever has to come, will come.”

The comments suggest Getafe are prepared to remain active if an opportunity emerges, without allowing speculation to distract from the squad already in place. Neither potential signing was confirmed, and Muñoz offered no timetable for a decision.

His immediate focus before the Rayo fixture was on Dani Carvajal, whose arrival had provided Getafe with a major boost. The former Real Madrid defender was in line to make his first appearance for the club just days after his signing was announced.

“We are very happy that he is with us, that he can play and make his debut. He had the same enthusiasm that we had. We hope he has a good game and that we get a good result,” Muñoz said.

Carvajal’s experience at the highest level offers Getafe a proven option at right-back, and the club will hope he can make an immediate contribution as he returns to regular football.

Muñoz also underlined the importance of the home fixture against Rayo, describing it as a significant opportunity to collect points against a difficult opponent.

“They are three vital points against a very good opponent, who make things difficult for us, but the feelings we have at home are good.”

The match finished 1-1, with Álvaro García putting Rayo ahead before Martín Satriano equalised for Getafe. Carvajal started and played until the 80th minute, while Getafe had to cope with Djené’s first-half dismissal.

The result left Getafe with a point rather than the victory Muñoz had hoped for, while the club’s work on potential reinforcements remains unresolved. For now, Getafe are keeping their options open and will only pursue additions that fit their sporting and financial requirements.
