Genoa's summer business extends beyond incomings, with the club also fielding growing interest in one of its own key performers as Daniele De Rossi looks to secure another season of Serie A survival.

Right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy has emerged as the player attracting the most external attention, with Everton and Fulham among the Premier League clubs making enquiries about the 22-year-old in recent days.

Genoa would want around โ‚ฌ20m to let him leave, a figure well within reach for English clubs but a significant sum by Italian market standards. Several Serie A sides have also been credited with interest in the England Under-21 international, who joined from Arsenal in 2024 and has established himself as one of the more promising full-backs in the league.

On the incoming side, Genoa continue to push for Roma striker Artem Dovbyk, with De Rossi keen to reunite with a forward he worked closely with during his time at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Ukrainian has now given his blessing to a move to Liguria, with reports in Italy suggesting he sees Genoa as an appealing destination to relaunch his career after a difficult injury-hit campaign. The two clubs are working through the terms of a proposed loan with an option to buy that could turn into a five-year deal running to 2031 if triggered.

The main sticking point remains Dovbyk's wages, which sit above โ‚ฌ3m net per season and well beyond Genoa's usual salary parameters. Discussions are centred on how much of that figure each club would be willing to cover during a loan spell, with AS Roma keen to offload a player who no longer features in Gian Piero Gasperini's plans.

Villarreal and Real Betis have also been credited with monitoring the situation from Spain, where Dovbyk enjoyed a prolific spell at Girona before his move to Roma, though neither has made a concrete approach.

Genoa see Dovbyk as the kind of proven, double-figure goalscorer they have lacked in recent seasons, and De Rossi's personal relationship with the striker is viewed internally as a genuine asset in getting the deal done.

AS Roma, for their part, have received no other concrete offers for the forward, strengthening Genoa's position even as the financial gap between the two clubs remains to be closed.
