Galatasaray are leading the pursuit with an offer of approximately €40m — a figure Eintracht Frankfurt's sporting director Markus Krösche still regards as insufficient.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu confirmed the Istanbul club's approach, with Galatasaray understood to be prepared to push toward €40m for the 20-year-old Turkey international who joined Frankfurt from 1. FC Nürnberg two years ago for just €11m.
Sky Sport Germany reports that Krösche is holding out for €60m — a significant premium over Galatasaray's offer that reflects Frankfurt's knowledge of how many clubs are competing. English clubs as well as Napoli and AC Milan are also understood to be monitoring Uzun's situation, with the competition likely to intensify if he performs well for Turkey at the World Cup.
Uzun has made five appearances for the Turkey national team and scored 11 goals across all competitions this season for Frankfurt. He is contracted for three more years, giving the German club considerable negotiating leverage.
At €60m, a sale would represent one of the most profitable developments in the club's recent transfer history. Whether Galatasaray can bridge the gap — or whether a wealthier rival from England or Italy moves ahead of them — will define how his summer unfolds.
