The Eintracht Frankfurt left-back, speaking to Bild, was asked about reported interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester City. His answer was direct.
"You can tell there's interest, but it doesn't affect me. I'm focused on the goals I have in mind. Right now, nothing else interests me."
Born in Amberg to an American father and a German mother, Brown was eligible to represent the United States and was approached about doing so around a year ago. He did not hesitate.
"About a year ago, there was a phone call with the US federation. But I immediately said that I only want to play for Germany. This is where my roots are, I grew up here. Since I have no contact with my biological father in the USA, the decision was clear for me. I grew up German, so it was always my goal to play for the DFB."
Brown made his senior Germany debut in October 2025, coming on against Luxembourg, and has since been called up for each of the three subsequent squads under Julian Nagelsmann. Germany coach Nagelsmann has acknowledged Brown as the most consistent performer in a difficult Frankfurt season and has encouraged him to show more vocal leadership on the pitch — Brown describes himself as a doer rather than a talker.
His numbers back that description. He has scored four goals and contributed four assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances this season for Eintracht Frankfurt, making him one of the most productive left-backs in the league. He is contracted to Frankfurt until 2030.
Competition for his position in the Germany squad is real. David Raum of RB Leipzig and Maximilian Mittelstädt of VfB Stuttgart are both in the mix. But Brown's consistency and continued inclusion in the national setup suggest Nagelsmann views him as a serious contender for a place in the 26-man group heading to the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
