Talks between the Tuscan club and Nottingham Forest over the Brazilian full-back are at an advanced stage, with an agreement potentially only hours away.
Dodo's position at Fiorentina has looked uncertain for months, largely because of a contract expiring on 30 June 2027 that was never renewed after his arrival five years ago.
Relations between his camp and the club's hierarchy began to sour under former sporting director Daniele Pradè, and the stalemate continued under his successor Fabio Paratici, whose comments at his unveiling press conference, along with the arrivals of Joao Mario and Jimenez in the same position, had already signalled a likely departure.
That exit now appears close to being confirmed, with a move to the Premier League the most probable destination.
Over four years in Florence, Dodo made 162 appearances in official competition across Serie A, Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa Italiana and the Conference League, scoring three goals. At Forest he would be reunited with former teammate Nikola Milenkovic.
While Fiorentina push through Dodo's exit, they have taken a firmer stance over Pongracic.
AC Milan made contact this month to establish whether a deal for the Croatian centre-back might be possible, having identified him as a potential replacement for Fikayo Tomori, who has fallen out of Ruben Amorim's plans. Fiorentina's response was unambiguous: Pongracic is not for sale, and with his valuation put at no less than €10million, only a dramatic late intervention would be likely to change that position before the window closes.
Pongracic joined Fiorentina from Lecce in the summer of 2024, having been signed at the last minute ahead of interest from Rennes, and has made 77 appearances over two seasons under Raffaele Palladino and, more recently, the Stefano Pioli-Paolo Vanoli pairing, contributing one goal and one assist.
He remains part of head coach Fabio Grosso's squad and is expected to stay in Florence for the rest of this window barring a significant offer.
