León's agent, Renato Bittar, addressed the uncertainty in comments to Paraguayan journalist Juanma Figueredo of ABC, stopping short of confirming any departure but declining to rule one out either.
"He's in a growth process, his body is taking the training load very well. His future is still not clear, the club hasn't asked for his departure. We'll see if anything comes up this week," Bittar said.
The 18-year-old, who joined Manchester United from Cerro Porteño last year, has yet to make his senior debut and has previously been linked with a loan to Nice, talk his camp dismissed at the time.
