Real Salt Lake and Crystal Palace are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of £13m for the 19-year-old, who has become a key player for the MLS club since establishing himself in their first team in 2023, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 16 league appearances this year.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Gozo is due in London on Sunday to complete the formalities on what would be a five-year contract running until the summer of 2031. The versatile forward, who has also represented the United States at Under-20 level, scoring twice and assisting four times in 12 appearances, arrives at a club that finished 15th in the Premier League last season but won the Conference League and will play in the Europa League this term.
Palace's business hasn't stopped there.
According to Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis, the club has also submitted an offer for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, stepping up their pursuit of a player who had previously been linked with a move to Newcastle earlier in the summer.
Nottingham Forest are also said to be preparing a bid of their own, while both Manchester United and Liverpool are monitoring the 22-year-old's situation from a distance. Monaco are demanding around €50m to let Camara leave, having already sold Maghnes Akliouche to PSG this summer and looking for a similarly significant fee to fund their own rebuild.
Camara, who has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 45 appearances for Senegal, joined Monaco from Metz in the summer of 2024 and has since become an important fixture in the side, which finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season.
With Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Liverpool all shaping up as potential rivals, Palace may face a battle to convince Monaco to accept their opening approach.
