The club confirmed the deal in an official statement: "Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of Italian midfielder Samuele Ricci on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option, from AC Milan."
Ricci, born in 2001, came through Empoli's academy before making his professional debut in Serie B in 2019, going on to make more than 90 appearances for the Tuscan club before a move to Torino in January 2022, initially on loan and later made permanent. After three and a half seasons at Torino, he joined Milan last July.
Now 25 and with more than 200 senior appearances to his name, Ricci has also earned several caps for Italy's national side.
Cesc Fàbregas welcomed the addition of an orderly, technically gifted midfielder with Serie A pedigree.
"Samuele is a player we know well. He has great technical quality, intelligence and the ability to manage the ball.
"I'm convinced his characteristics fit well with how we play and that he can give us a lot. We're happy to have him with us and can't wait to start working together," the Como coach said.
Ricci introduced himself to supporters via the club's social channels, expressing enthusiasm for the project.
"I've heard great things about the group and the staff, and I jumped at the chance to showcase myself. I consider myself a tactically intelligent player - I've worked hard on that and I think I've improved a lot over the years. Big greetings to you all, I can't wait to see you at the stadium," he said.
Reflecting separately on his decision to join Como, Ricci added: "I'm happy to be here, the impressions have been excellent from the very start. I really liked the project the club presented to me, and I can't wait to make myself available to the manager and the team to begin this new experience."
The club's statement closed with a simple welcome: "Welcome to Como, Samuele."
