Chelsea are prepared to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer after the Argentine winger failed to establish himself under head coach Liam Rosenior since his £40 million move from Manchester United last September.

Garnacho has made only four Premier League starts since Rosenior's appointment on January 6, with Pedro Neto the preferred option on the left flank. Jamie Gittens, signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, is also ahead of the 21-year-old in Rosenior's thinking despite currently being sidelined with a hamstring injury.

The situation has been compounded by a social media controversy. Garnacho deleted all Chelsea-related content from his personal TikTok account and reposted clips celebrating his Manchester United career, sparking fresh speculation about his future at the club, reports The Sun. It followed an interview with Sky Sports in which he admitted regrets over how his United exit unfolded.

"Maybe yes, because I loved that club. They gave me the confidence from the start," he said when asked whether he had any regrets about leaving Old Trafford.

Garnacho had been keen to join Chelsea from as early as January last year, seven months before the move was completed, with his agents visiting Stamford Bridge and the player making frequent trips to London during that period. He is represented by Enrique de Lucas, the former Chelsea midfielder.

Despite the difficult season, the club has not officially confirmed any decision on his future. Chelsea are expected to target a new winger this summer regardless, which would push Garnacho even further down the pecking order. He has made 14 Premier League starts in total across the season.
