Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is attracting interest from several clubs this summer, with Brentford and Galatasaray both said to be following his situation closely.

The Senegal international joined Spurs from Metz in 2021 and gradually worked his way into the first-team picture, going on to make 141 appearances and contribute more than 26 goals and assists.

Last season proved more difficult, however, with Sarr seeing less regular football in midfield and repeatedly held back by injuries, leaving him with a reduced role in a team that only secured its Premier League survival on the final day of the season.

According to WIWSport, Brentford have expressed interest in the 23-year-old, as have Galatasaray, who are also tracking the situation. Tottenham are not thought to be willing to let Sarr go easily, though they could consider a significant offer given his contract, which runs until June 2030.

Sarr, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022, now faces an important decision over his next step as he looks to rediscover regular football and the consistency that once made him one of the Premier League's most promising young midfielders.

Reports elsewhere have suggested Tottenham's valuation sits at around ยฃ25m, with the north London club under no financial pressure to sell given the length of his contract. A move to Brentford would allow Sarr to continue his development in a league he already knows well, while Galatasaray, regular Champions League participants under Okan Buruk, could offer a more central role and a return to prominence away from the intense competition for places in north London.

Sarr's situation has fluctuated throughout the year, with earlier reports in the season also linking Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich with the midfielder before his playing time diminished.

That heavyweight interest has cooled somewhat as his campaign wore on, leaving Brentford and Galatasaray as the two clubs most actively pursuing a deal as the transfer window progresses. Tottenham's stance publicly remains that Sarr is not for sale, though the club is understood to be open to discussions should an offer meeting their valuation materialise before the market closes.
