The French forward has recently returned to action after missing the beginning of the season with a foot injury sustained during Bournemouth's pre-season training camp in Austria.
Kroupi required surgery and subsequently missed much of the club's preparations before finally making his comeback as a substitute against Manchester United last weekend.
He also featured during Bournemouth's Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa in midweek, playing the final 10 minutes as he continued his gradual return to full fitness.
However, Rose has indicated that the 19-year-old will again be restricted to a substitute's role when Leeds visit the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
The Bournemouth manager is pleased to have Kroupi available again but believes it is important not to rush his recovery.
"We still need to build up his game time," Rose said.
"And I'm really happy to have him back, to have his quality.
"But he knows that he has to be patient in this situation to not get in a difficult situation with another injury.
"We need to get him fit in a good spot with more and more match time and in between good sessions of training."
Kroupi has already demonstrated his attacking potential since joining Bournemouth, and his return provides Rose with another option as the club attempts to maintain its impressive run of results.
The forward is particularly keen to make an impact, although the manager says the player understands the importance of rebuilding his physical condition before taking on a greater workload.
"He feels that he lacks some fitness," Rose explained.
"And we work on it. And of course, Junior loves the game. He loves to score. He loves to help the team. He still feels that he missed something.
"And we work on it together. I support him with giving him match time."
Rose also revealed that Kroupi has been working particularly hard between matches to accelerate his recovery.
"Even he is not top fit. But he's working really hard to get more match time. He trains. He did runs yesterday after the game.
"We are going to get him in a good spot the next couple of weeks and then he's ready to start again. And if he stays healthy, then I hope he's going to get in a run."
The Bournemouth manager's approach reflects the need to manage the striker carefully after his extended absence.
Kroupi missed an important period of pre-season after sustaining the foot injury in Austria, with the subsequent operation disrupting his preparations for the campaign.
Rather than immediately restoring him to the starting line-up, Rose wants to increase his involvement gradually through substitute appearances and additional training sessions.
That process is intended to improve his match fitness without placing unnecessary demands on a player who has already endured a frustrating period.
Bournemouth have enjoyed an encouraging run of five successive victories across all competitions, and Rose will be keen to preserve that momentum against Leeds.
Kroupi's return gives the manager another attacking option, but the immediate priority remains ensuring that the teenager can complete his recovery and contribute consistently over the coming weeks.
For the player himself, the prospect of returning to the starting line-up is getting closer, although Rose has made clear that patience will be essential.
