Bologna have added Bowie to their list of attacking targets, with the forward emerging as a potential replacement should Thijs Dallinga leave the club this summer following two seasons below expectations, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Bowie, 23, scored eleven goals and provided five assists for Verona last season after joining from Fulham in 2023. He was one of the more productive forwards outside the established top half of Serie A and has drawn increasing attention from clubs around the Italian top flight.
Hellas Verona value him at around €10 million — considerably less than the €22 million Bologna paid Toulouse for Dallinga in 2024.
Dallinga has not established himself as the consistent presence the club expected under successive coaches since arriving in Emilia-Romagna. Bologna are now open to listening to offers, and new head coach Domenico Tedesco is assessing the forward line as part of a broader summer review ahead of the club's Champions League debut next season.
Interest in Bowie is currently at a monitoring stage. No formal approach has been made to Verona, and whether the interest converts into a concrete bid depends primarily on Dallinga's future. If he departs, the need for a replacement becomes urgent.
Bologna are also pursuing midfield reinforcements with greater urgency. The Bowie situation would form a separate strand of the rebuild, addressing the need for a more reliable option in attack without committing the kind of outlay that proved disappointing in the Dallinga deal.
