The 19-year-old centre-back joined Brighton from Tottenham in July after an outstanding loan spell at Hamburger SV.
Vušković spent the 2025/26 campaign in Germany, making 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring six goals. His performances helped establish him as one of Europe's most highly rated young defenders.
Brighton won the race for his signature during the summer, signing him on a five-year contract with an option for another season.
He has quickly justified that investment. Vušković has started strongly for Fabian Hürzeler's side and has also become an increasingly important figure for Croatia.
According to Bild's Christian Falk, Bayern Munich have now taken an interest in the defender.
The Bundesliga champions are not currently expected to make a move, however. Bayern Munich would reportedly only consider signing Vušković if another centre-back leaves the squad next year.
Should a place become available, the Croatian is understood to be a serious option for Bayern, who are already familiar with his development after his impressive spell in Germany.
Vušković is also reportedly interested in the possibility of joining Bayern, although any move would depend on the club creating room in its defensive group.
The defender is under contract with Brighton until 2031, with the option of a further year, meaning the Premier League club are in a strong position.
His rise has been rapid. After coming through at Hajduk Split, Vušković moved to Tottenham before spending a season with Hamburg, where his goalscoring ability from defence attracted significant attention.
He has now carried that momentum into England and the Croatia national team, giving Bayern another reason to monitor his progress.
For the moment, Brighton have no obvious reason to consider selling one of their most promising young players. Bayern's interest is therefore one to watch rather than an immediate transfer threat.
