Robin Fellhauer has not ruled out a move abroad later in his career, but the Augsburg midfielder has a more immediate target in German football at Augsburg.

The 28-year-old told kicker that he would consider an overseas move towards the end of his playing days, although his priority is reaching 100 Bundesliga appearances.

“Maybe towards the end of my career. Now I have the next goal: one hundred Bundesliga games.”

Fellhauer’s route to that milestone has been longer than most. After coming through the youth system at Freiburg, the Mannheim-born midfielder moved to the club’s second team before joining SV Elversberg in 2019.

He spent six years at Elversberg, progressing from the Regionalliga Südwest into the 3. Liga and then the 2. Bundesliga. His performances eventually earned him a move to Augsburg in 2025.

The DFB data centre records 38 Bundesliga appearances for Fellhauer by September 2026. He has also made three cup appearances for Augsburg, while his overall competitive total for the club has reached 41 matches.

Fellhauer has contributed at both ends of the pitch since arriving at Augsburg and has established himself as a dependable member of the squad. His current Bundesliga campaign has brought four appearances and two goals, according to Bundesliga records.

The midfielder’s next landmark is therefore clear. Reaching 100 Bundesliga games would represent another significant step in a career that has developed steadily rather than through an early move to the top flight.

Kicker’s report also leaves the door open to a final adventure outside Germany. Fellhauer is not actively looking to leave Augsburg, but he sees an international move as something that could become attractive later in his career.

For now, the focus is firmly on the Bundesliga target. Having worked his way from Freiburg and the regional divisions through Elversberg to the top flight, Fellhauer has 62 league appearances still to collect before he reaches the mark he has set himself.
