Few players in modern English football have collected passport stamps quite like Andros Townsend, and the 34-year-old has now added a 17th club to that list, completing a move to Thai top-flight side PT Prachuap.
The former Tottenham winger confirmed the switch himself on Instagram with a brief message: "The Thai adventure continues."
Prachuap, who play their football in Prachuap Khiri Khan province around 150 miles south of Bangkok, had already given the transfer away without meaning to.
A club social media post two weeks earlier asking whether anyone locally had a spare three-bedroom house drew widespread speculation at the time that a new arrival, since confirmed as Townsend, was on the way.
The move ends a short stint at second-tier Kanchanaburi Power, for whom Townsend scored three goals in 29 appearances last season after arriving from Turkish club Antalyaspor.
His career has taken in spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Everton among a long list of English clubs, and continued into broadcasting this summer, when he worked as a co-commentator for ITV's World Cup coverage before opting to extend his playing days in south-east Asia instead of stepping away from the game.
