Mediaset and Radio Bianconera journalist Gianni Balzarini has discussed the speculation, while urging caution over claims that Agnelli could eventually be involved again.
“I don't have the elements to say whether it is true. At the moment I can neither confirm nor deny,” Balzarini said.
The possibility is reportedly linked to the objectives set by John Elkann for Juventus, with financial balance to be restored before the club can embark on another sporting relaunch.
According to the speculation, only after those targets have been achieved could a scenario involving Agnelli emerge again.
Agnelli remains a hugely significant figure in Juventus history after overseeing a period in which the club won nine consecutive Serie A titles.
Balzarini, however, stressed that the latest claims have not been backed by official statements and are instead based on reports attributed to shareholders and their wider networks.
“It is a situation that still needs many possible confirmations,” he said.
For now, there is therefore no concrete indication that Agnelli will return to Juventus, with the club's immediate focus remaining on its financial recovery.
As Balzarini warned: “In the Juve world you have to be very careful to avoid going beyond prudence and shooting big.”
