RB Leipzig look set to keep hold of Yan Diomande this summer despite growing interest in the winger, with the Bundesliga club demanding at least €120m for the Ivory Coast international.

Diomande was one of last season's standout performers in the Bundesliga and continued to show flashes of his potential at the World Cup, but according to Sport Bild, no club appears willing to meet RB Leipzig's asking price this summer.

Liverpool remain the only side to have lodged a formal offer, understood to be worth €80m plus a further €20m in potential add-ons, but that proposal was rejected. Paris St-Germain have also registered interest, and Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have since all made their own interest known, though each club has reportedly set its own financial limit of no more than €100m.

Internally, Leipzig have already ruled out a sale this summer, according to Bild, with the only exception being a deal that includes an immediate loan back to the club for a further season. Instead, the Bundesliga side are pushing to extend Diomande's contract, which currently runs until 2030, and improve his salary in the process.

How the 19-year-old himself feels about staying remains uncertain. Diomande is understood to have already given informal assurances to several suitors over a potential move, with Sport Bild reporting that Liverpool, PSG and both Manchester clubs each believe they are in pole position.

The winger further fuelled speculation during the World Cup, telling reporters: "I expect that I will leave the club."

It now falls to sporting director Marcel Schafer and new head coach Martin Demichelis to convince Diomande that his future lies in Leipzig, with the club keen to avoid losing one of the Bundesliga's brightest young talents for a fee well below their valuation.

The winger joined Leipzig from Spanish side CD Leganes only last summer, and his rapid rise from relegation battler in La Liga to one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe within 12 months has been one of the standout stories of the window.

Diomande's importance to Leipzig's plans is reflected in the club's determination to keep him beyond this window even at the cost of upsetting some of the biggest clubs in world football.
