Manchester United's summer clear-out is gathering pace, with Juventus mulling a Joshua Zirkzee swap deal and youngster Toby Collyer told he can leave permanently.

Juventus are considering offering Manchester United a player-plus-cash deal to land winger Francisco Conceição, according to SportMediaset, with Joshua Zirkzee moving to Turin as makeweight alongside a cash sum.

Juventus value Conceição at between €50m and €60m, though that figure could fall significantly with Zirkzee included; agent Jorge Mendes is said to be working to broker an agreement between the two clubs.

Reports from Italy suggest Zirkzee has already agreed personal terms with Juventus over a loan switch without any obligation to buy, with head coach Luciano Spalletti an admirer of the Dutch striker, who previously played in Italy with Bologna.

Manchester United signed Zirkzee for £36m in 2024, and he became the first signing of the INEOS ownership era, but has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford and does not appear to feature prominently in Michael Carrick's plans. He is under contract until 2029, with an option to extend to 2030, and reportedly earns around €3.5m net per season.

Juventus, who have already committed more than €90m to signing Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegović this summer, need to balance the books with departures of their own, with Conceição, who has 11 goals and 11 assists in 82 appearances since arriving from Porto, among those who could make way.

Elsewhere at Old Trafford, Toby Collyer has been told he can leave the club permanently this summer. The 22-year-old was omitted from the squad that travelled to Stockholm for the 2-1 pre-season win over Atlético Madrid, playing instead for United's under-21s in a 1-0 defeat to non-league Altrincham.

Collyer endured unsuccessful loan spells at West Brom and Hull City in the Championship last season, both hampered by injury, and has since been overtaken by Tyler Fletcher in the midfield pecking order, with United also keen to bring in a specialist defensive midfielder.

Championship clubs have expressed interest in the former Brighton academy prospect, who is under contract until next year and has made 13 first-team appearances for United since his debut in the 2024 Community Shield. Fellow academy graduates Dan Gore, Jacob Devaney and Chido Obi also started against Altrincham and could similarly be on the move before the window closes.
