Levante scored twice in stoppage time to rescue a dramatic 3-3 draw against Sevilla, with Ifeanyi Ndukwe delivering the final equaliser after a chaotic finish at the Ciutat de València.

Robbie Ure capitalised on a defensive error to put Sevilla ahead in the 13th minute, and Félix Correia doubled their advantage shortly after the interval. Iván Romero immediately reduced the deficit for Levante, setting up a tense second half.

The hosts appeared to have earned a point when Adrián de la Fuente, known as Dela, equalised in the 92nd minute. Isaac Romero then produced a spectacular finish to put Sevilla back in front in the 95th minute, but his celebration brought a second yellow card and left the visitors with ten men.

Ndukwe, who had been at fault for Sevilla’s opener, redeemed himself by scoring in the 100th minute to complete the comeback and lift Levante out of the relegation zone.

Sevilla manager Luis García Plaza believed his side had done enough to win before the late collapse.

“Until 0-2 we were much superior. We played a very good first half and could have scored more goals. There was a key moment when they made it 1-2 very quickly, which gave them confidence. They stopped combining and played more directly.

“After we found the strength to make it 2-3, the sending-off came. If we finish with eleven players, we don't draw the match. The final goal involved six rebounds, a bit of everything, but I am very proud of the players.”

Levante coach Luis Castro praised his team’s refusal to surrender, believing the result reflected their overall effort.

“It is the fairest result. We finished with more shots and their goalkeeper made more saves. But they were leading. We knew it would be a difficult match because Sevilla are a team that competes very strongly.

“Going behind made things harder, but the team showed incredible mentality and I like that very much. We were 0-2 down and then they made it 2-3. Many teams would have given up there, but the mentality of Levante is very strong.”

Castro also credited the supporters and his players’ energy after the break, while acknowledging there were tactical details to improve. Levante have built a strong home record, and the coach wants that resilience to continue.

García Plaza now turns his attention to a demanding run of fixtures, including a trip to Real Madrid. He said Sevilla must learn to finish matches rather than allow opponents back into contention.

For Levante, Ndukwe’s last-gasp goal transformed a frustrating evening into a valuable point, earned through persistence until the final whistle.
