Tuttosport has again identified Díaz as a major target for the Turin club, which previously explored a move for the Morocco international during the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old rejected that possibility and stayed at Real Madrid, but Juventus have not abandoned the idea of bringing him to Italy. According to Mundo Deportivo, the club had even sought to arrange a meeting with Real Madrid through Díaz’s representative.
Díaz’s contractual situation remains an important part of the equation. His current Real Madrid agreement runs until June 2027, while reports indicate that a verbal understanding exists over an extension to 2030. The new deal has not yet been officially announced.
Díaz has played only 178 minutes across four appearances for José Mourinho’s side this season, a lack of regular football that could add another layer to the situation if his position at the Bernabéu changes.
For Juventus, his experience in Italy remains part of the attraction. Díaz spent three seasons with AC Milan before returning to Real Madrid in 2023, winning the Serie A title during his time at San Siro.
Tuttosport continues to regard the Moroccan as one of Juventus’ leading future targets, particularly because of his ability to operate in several attacking positions.
The Turin club’s interest therefore remains dependent on developments in Madrid. If Díaz’s renewal is completed, a move would become more difficult, while any uncertainty over his future could encourage Juventus to return to the table.
Díaz’s versatility is another reason for Juventus’ continued interest. The Moroccan can play centrally or from either side of the attack, giving Luciano Spalletti another option when building an adaptable forward line.
His previous spell in Serie A also means the move would not represent a step into unfamiliar territory. Díaz knows the league and spent two seasons at Milan before returning to the Spanish capital.
The situation could therefore develop around two separate questions: whether Real Madrid formalise the proposed extension and how much playing time Díaz receives under Mourinho. Juventus are monitoring both.
For now, Díaz’s stated preference has been to continue at Real Madrid, but Juventus are keeping the door open for another approach in a future transfer window.
