The 22-year-old centre-back left Madrid in the summer of 2025 to continue his development in Italy and has settled into life under Cesc Fàbregas.
Asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport about the possibility of returning to his former club, Ramón made it clear that his attention is firmly on Como.
“I’ll only say one thing, and it is absolutely certain: I am very happy at Como. We have just finished the season and I’m not thinking about anything else. We need to start a great season, nothing more,” he said.
Ramón also defended Fàbregas' approach at Como, particularly the Spaniard's ambition to offer a different interpretation of Italian football.
The defender rejected the idea that the coach's methods should necessarily attract criticism and instead pointed to Fàbregas' desire to make Serie A more appealing.
“I wouldn’t say that. Obviously, you can’t please everyone, that’s life. Cesc loves Italy very much and deeply admires Italian football. What he is trying to do is drive Serie A forward and encourage a more attractive and entertaining style of football,” Ramón said.
“He is doing things differently because he wants football in Italy to be accessible to as many people as possible. The Roma against Inter match was magnificent; that is the path to follow.”
Ramón has another ambition away from club football, with a place in the Spain senior squad firmly among his targets.
The former Real Madrid defender knows the competition for places is fierce, but says he is working every day to give himself a chance.
“It is a dream. I work every day to reach the senior national team. The problem is that we are talking about the best national team in the world; the competition is enormous,” he said.
Ramón therefore begins his second season in Italy focused on developing with Como rather than considering a return to Madrid.
His immediate priorities are clear: continue progressing under Fàbregas and push himself into contention for Spain.
