The League Two club earned a place in the last eight by knocking out Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties, and will now have another home tie as they pursue a remarkable run in the competition.
Fleetwood are the lowest-ranked team remaining and must wait until Thursdayâs fourth-round match between Everton and Newcastle at Hill Dickinson Stadium to discover their opponents.
Holders Manchester City will welcome League One side Bradford City to the Etihad Stadium, while Liverpool have been drawn at home against Bournemouth. The remaining tie will see Crystal Palace host Sunderland.
Carabao Cup quarter-final draw
- Fleetwood Town v Everton or Newcastle United
- Manchester City v Bradford City
- Crystal Palace v Sunderland
- Liverpool v Bournemouth
The quarter-finals are scheduled for the week commencing December 14, with exact dates and kick-off times to be confirmed.
Fleetwoodâs reward for eliminating Arsenal is a tie against another Premier League opponent, although the identity of their visitors will depend on Thursdayâs result. Their progress has already made this a historic cup campaign, and a place in the semi-finals would represent another major achievement for the League Two side.
Bradford also face top-flight opposition after reaching the quarter-finals, but will have to travel to Manchester to take on the holders. City booked their place in the draw after beating Brighton on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the Etihad.
Liverpool likewise needed a shootout to advance, overcoming Chelsea 6-5 after their fourth-round tie finished 1-1. Cody Gakpo equalised from the penalty spot after Morgan Rogers had given Chelsea the lead, before Joe Gomez scored Liverpoolâs decisive kick and Wesley Fofana missed for the visitors.
That victory sets up a meeting with Bournemouth, giving Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola a reunion with his former club. Bournemouth reached the last eight with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa, courtesy of goals from Amine Adli, Lewis Cook and Alvaro RodrĂguez.
Crystal Palace completed the other confirmed pairing by beating Fulham 1-0, with Eddie Nketiah scoring the decisive goal. They will now welcome Sunderland, who advanced with a 3-2 victory against Brentford.
With three of the four ties guaranteed to feature Premier League opposition against lower-league sides or fellow top-flight clubs, the draw offers Fleetwood and Bradford the opportunity to extend their unexpected cup journeys. All eight quarter-finalists will be aiming to move within two matches of a Wembley final, with the semi-finals scheduled to be played over two legs in January and February.
