Speaking to DAZN before kick-off, Paratici was measured when asked whether Vanoli would continue into next season, emphasising that squad planning will follow only once mathematical safety is secured.
"The squad always starts from a shared intention between the club and the manager. You have to follow the manager to build a team that suits what he demands โ in terms of style of play, character, and the right players for his profile. When we sit down with Paolo to review this season and plan the next, we'll talk about all of these things."
On the question of players potentially leaving, Paratici indicated Fiorentina would not stand in anyone's way but equally welcomed retention.
"If players have interest from other clubs, it means they've done well โ and they've done well for Fiorentina."
Pressed directly on whether Vanoli would be in charge next season, the sporting director stopped short of a confirmation.
"We speak with Paolo every day. We've been talking about all of these things since we arrived, not just now. When we reach mathematical safety, we'll sit down to review what worked, what didn't, and what we want to do together going forward."
Vanoli was appointed in November after Stefano Pioli was dismissed following a disastrous opening to the campaign. The turnaround under the 53-year-old has been significant โ Fiorentina collected 18 points from their last nine Serie A matches before Monday's result, a tally bettered only by Inter and Napoli in the same period.
Reports in Italy suggest the formal meeting between Paratici and Vanoli will take place this week, with Sassuolo's Fabio Grosso understood to be the club's preferred alternative if a renewal is not agreed.
