The 20-year-old has struggled to secure regular playing time under José Mourinho, and a loan move to Italy is being discussed as a possible route to more first-team football.
Moretto raised the prospect of a departure during an appearance on Radio MARCA’s "La Pizarra de Quintana", despite Mourinho having indicated that he wanted to keep the forward in Madrid.
“Although Mourinho has already said he is going to stay, the possibility of Endrick leaving in January remains on the table,” Moretto said.
The lack of opportunities has become central to the uncertainty surrounding Endrick’s future. Moretto pointed to the forward’s brief appearance against Leipzig as an example of his limited involvement.
“He's not getting many minutes. He came on for two or three minutes against Leipzig, he played very little,” the journalist explained.
Roma and AC Milan are the two Italian clubs identified as interested in the Brazilian. Moretto suggested that Roma currently represents the more concrete possibility if Real Madrid and the player decide that a temporary move would be beneficial.
“In Italy, Roma and Milan want him. Especially Roma; it's a real possibility for January,” he said.
A move would offer Endrick the chance to play more regularly during the second half of the season, rather than remain on the fringes of Mourinho’s plans. For a young forward still developing his game, consistent minutes could be important, particularly with competition for attacking places at Real Madrid.
However, interest from the Serie A clubs does not mean a deal has been agreed. The situation remains dependent on the player’s prospects in Madrid and whether the club is prepared to sanction a departure during the winter window.
Mourinho’s reported desire to retain Endrick also leaves a key question over the club’s position. The coach has previously expressed confidence in the Brazilian, but that backing has not yet translated into a sustained run of appearances.
Roma appear to have the strongest interest at this stage, although Milan are also monitoring developments. Both clubs would need to establish whether a loan arrangement is possible and whether it would suit Real Madrid’s plans.
Endrick’s future is therefore likely to remain a talking point as January approaches. Unless his role changes in the coming weeks, a move to Italy could become a realistic option for a player seeking the regular football he has so far been unable to find in Madrid.
