Dani Olmo has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite renewed interest from Bayern Munich, with the midfielder committed to continuing at the Catalan club.

The 28-year-old has emerged as an important player for Hansi Flick and is under contract with Barcelona until June 2030.

Bayern Munich have long admired Olmo after watching him excel at RB Leipzig, where the German club previously explored the possibility of signing him. Their interest has now resurfaced following his performances for Barcelona and Spain.

However, there is no indication that Olmo wants to return to the Bundesliga. He is happy at Barcelona and does not intend to consider a move away.

Olmo has already made 96 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 20 goals and providing 20 assists since joining from Leipzig in 2024.

His versatility remains a major asset, with the Spain international capable of playing in central midfield, as a number 10 or from the left wing.

Bayern are understood to have kept him on their list of potential targets for future transfer windows, but any approach would face resistance from both the player and Barcelona.

Olmo has become a trusted member of Flick’s squad and has featured regularly this season, alternating between the starting role in attacking midfield and competition with Fermín López.

He has appeared in all eight of Barcelona’s matches so far, seven in La Liga and one in the Champions League.

The midfielder’s performances have also strengthened his standing with Spain. Olmo has won 59 caps and was a key member of the side that won the World Cup.

For now, though, his focus remains firmly on Barcelona. Neither the player nor the club is considering an exit despite the renewed attention from Bayern.

Olmo’s current situation therefore leaves Bayern with a familiar obstacle: the German club may admire the midfielder, but there is no indication that Barcelona or the player are prepared to facilitate a return to Germany.
